Power transfer units
GKN Driveline’s lightweight, compact Power Transfer Units make upgrading front wheel drive platforms to all-wheel drive simpler and more cost-effective. Final drive units
GKN Driveline’s family of lightweight, high-performance Final Drive Units for front and rear independent axle applications offer robust performance and versatility for all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel drive drivelines. The FDU takes the power from the engine and intelligently distributes it to the rear wheels depending on driver inputs and road conditions.
GKN Driveline produces a complete portfolio of lightweight propshaft solutions that improve efficiency and performance for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. GKN’s global network of tech centers and production facilities offer global platforms local application engineering and supply anywhere in the world. GKN’s propshafts are tailored, tuned and harmonised to match the precise demands of its application.
CV Joint Systems
The CV Joint sideshaft system provides the dynamic connection between the engine and driven wheels, transmitting power and allowing steering angles whilst accommodating suspension movements and isolating vibrations. With a critical impact on a vehicle’s performance, efficiency, handling and comfort, GKN has an exhaustive range of sideshaft systems for all vehicle applications.
All-wheel drive systems are becoming ever more sophisticated in how they transmit power to the road, responding to driving conditions and driver inputs. Effective software control is central to that.
