Experience

Joined GKN in 1987 where he held various positions in operational and finance roles in Sinter Metals Europe.
Appointment in 2007 to President Sinter Metals Europe.
In 2009 moved to GKN Driveline as Global Director of Finance and IT.
Peter holds a PhD for business economics from University Innsbruck (Austria) and University Ca Foscari in Venice (Italy).

 

Peter Boultbee

Chief Operating Officer Hoeganaes

Appointed to Chief Operating Officer Hoeganaes in January 2015

Experience

joined GKN on the ILDP Program in 2002 and held various plant manager positions. Most recently he held the position of Vice President Operations and has been instrumental in achieving and sustaining business improvements, including driving lean and safety initiatives. Peter holds a Master´s degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, UK.

 

Abdul Butt

Experience

Joined GKN in 1999 from Loughborough University (UK) from where he holds a Degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management. He joined GKN’s International Leadership Development program, with assignments in South Korea, US and Europe. Appointed to GKN Sinter Metals in 2004 where he held various Operational Management Positions globally. In November 2011 he moved to Hoeganaes as Chief Operating Officer and became President Hoeganaes in December 2012.

 

Guido Degen

Senior Vice President Business Development & Advanced Technology – Powder Metallurgy

Appointed to Vice President Business Development and Strategic Planning, GKN Powder Metallurgy in 2012

Experience

Guido joined GKN Sinter Metals in 1996 as Product Development Engineer. In 2001 he was appointed Plant Manager Bonn and in 2005 took on the dual role of Plant Manager Bonn and Oberhausen. In 2007 he was promoted to Operations Director and took responsibility for the Radevormwald Conventional & Forge plants. In 2008 he became Vice President Operations taking responsibility for Bonn, Filters and the Medium Segment and joined the Regional Management Team. In 2010 he was given additional responsibility for the India operations and supported the integration of the newly formed Europe & Asia Pacific region. In 2011 he took on the dual role of Regional Supply Chain Director and Vice President Operations.
Guido holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cologne, Germany.

 

Christon Franks

President Europe & Asia Pacific Operations Sinter Metals

Appointed to President Europe & Asia Pacific Operations Sinter Metals in January 2015

Experience

Joined GKN in 2011 as Vice President Sales & Marketing Americas.  Chris was appointed to President-Americas Operations in February of 2013 and appointed to his current role of President-Europe and Asia Pacific Operations in January of 2015.  Prior to joining GKN, Chris worked in several global automotive companies including MPI International and Metaldyne where he held Senior Commercial, Technical, and Management roles including Vice President of Sales & Engineering and Managing Director of China.  Chris holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.

Diego Laurent

Global Finance Director GKN Powder Metallurgy

Appointed in 2013 to Global Finance Director

Experience

Joined GKN in 1994 in the Purchasing Function in GKN Driveline Porto Alegre, Brazil, and since then has held a number of senior roles in Financing. More recently held the position of Finance & IT Director, Americas for GKN Driveline based in North Carolina. Holds a degree in Economics, a post graduate qualification in Production Engineering and a post graduate qualification in Finance.

 

Gottfried Rier

Senior Vice President Engineering, Program Management & Lean - Powder Metallurgy

Appointed to Senior Vice President Engineering & Lean - Powder Metallurgy in September 2014

Experience

Gottfried joined GKN in 1997 as Production Segment Leader for structural parts. In 2006 he was appointed to Plant Manager, Bad Brückenau and in 2008 he took on the role of Vice President Operations taking responsibility for Bad Brückenau, Bad Langensalza and Bruneck and joined the Regional Management Team. In 2009 he took on the RPPC responsibility for the Segment Medium and Large and launched the regional Program Management Organization. In 2010 he was given additional responsibility for the China Operations and the plant in Cape Town (SA) and supported the integration of the newly formed Europe & Asia Pacific region. In 2012 he was appointed to Vice President Operations Europe. Gottfried holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Gewerbeoberschule in Bozen, Italy. 

 

Karl-Friedrich Roth

Global HR Director Powder Metallurgy

Appointment

Appointed Global Human Resources Director, GKN Sinter Metals in January 2008.

Experience

Joined GKN Sinter Metals in 1998 as HR Director Germany.  Was appointed European HR Director, GKN Sinter Metals in 2002 and HR Director, GKN Sinter Metals Asia Pacific & South America in 2003.  Prior to joining GKN he held the position of HR and Legal Manager for SGL Carbon/Ringsdorff Sinter.  Earlier in his career he worked as an Advocate for a number of German law firms in Cologne and Bonn and obtained his state law exam from Bonn University before qualifying as a professional Lawyer.

Reid Southby

Senior Vice President Quality & Risk Management - Powder Metallurgy

Appointed to SVP Global Quality & Product Launch in May 2014

Experience

Joined GKN in 2014 as SVP Global Quality & Product Launch.
Prior to GKN, he held the position of Plant Manager/General Manager.
Director of Quality and most recently Executive Director of Global Quality, at Magna Powertrain Inc. whom he joined in 2006.
Prior to this he worked at American Axle & Manufacturing and General Motors.
Reid holds a BSE in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
