We have an organisation-wide programme to engage more fully with every employee on the GKN strategy, providing everyone with the opportunity for discussion and clarification of how team and individual roles contribute to the strategy.

Top level business communication with employees is achieved through regular business updates via conference call with the Chief Executive and other members of the Executive Committee to some 700 senior managers, who in turn brief their teams.
 

Communication and collaboration are key within the organisation and there are multiple face to face communication mechanisms including daily team meetings, weekly employee involvement sessions and monthly team briefings.

High performance in GKN is recognised annually at the Leadership conference through our Excellence Awards across a range of areas including Safety, Quality, Environment, Continuous Improvement, Customer Service and Technology.

GKN aims to foster a positive, inclusive working environment.
